A Casting Call for NEW Episodes!

Who wants to go to work for the Telders Corporation and spend a little time with Station 151? If you’re reading this article, you’ve probably seen the casting call notifications on our Twitter, Instagram, or Discord accounts. It’s all true! The writers and producer behind Station 151 have been working on scripts for new episodes of Station 151 and are looking for voice talent to help us bring these new characters and episodes to life.

If you’re good to go, feel free to skip over the rest of this article and click to download the casting call PDFs we’ve attached. Thank you!

Casting call for “Q7”, 2 episodes: Q7 Casting Call

Casting call for Multiple characters, 2 episodes: Multiple Characters Casting Call

So… what’s the story?

The episodes we are casting for are part of a “mini season” that was promised as one of the stretch goals during our 2022 Kickstarter (many thanks to all who backed us and made this happen). The mini season we promised will offer more insight into the Station 151 characters and backstories. If it sounds like a prequel series to Season 1 of Station 151, you’re right. That’s exactly what it is, but it’s every bit as weird and imaginative as the first 12 episodes we produced.

FAQ

  • Is this a paying gig? Yes. We value the contributions of the voice actors who help us bring our podcast to life, and we aim to compensate them.
  • What kind of roles are available? Male and female roles, featuring authentic American or foreign accents.
  • What if I’m non-binary? Pick a role, go for it!
  • Are any of these reoccurring roles? Possibly. Not sure yet.
  • How many episodes? It’s a “mini season,” so depending on the role, it’s 1-2 episodes.
  • What are you looking for? Simply put, we are looking for great voices to bring life to these roles, so please read the character descriptions on the casting call sheets and send us recordings of your best takes.
  • Are you looking for [insert whatever accent]? Yes, but we’re not looking for anyone to affect (or speak with) an accent that’s not naturally their own.
  • Do I need to listen to Season 1 of Station151 before submitting for a role? No, but it might be a good idea, so that you can get a better idea of what you’re getting into.
  • Where will this be recorded? In your home and on your own recording setup, unless you want to fly to Kansas City on your own dime and record in a coat closet (not advised).
  • When are you recording? Sometime in May, probably the third or fourth week of May.
  • When will these episodes be released? Good question! We are thinking sometime in June.
  • What about recording pick up lines? As needed. Probably the week after principal recording.
  • Do I have to be a professional voice actor to submit? No, absolutely not, but you do need to be able to record clean, clear audio and sound like a professional.
  • What if my email server says the file is too big to send? Simply reexport or recompress the file as an MP3, not a WAV or other non-compressed file type.
  • But, I have other questions… See the casting call sheets. Many of the other questions should be answered there. If not, there’s an email address on each that you can use to contact the production team as needed.

That’s all, folks. If you’ve read all this, we thank you for your interest, and we hope that you’ll submit some great reads in our first-ever casting call for Station 151. Cheers!
